Chateau Cantegril is owned by the Dubourdieu family and their Sauternes wine is created by Denis Dubourdieu Domaines. The family also own the rather better known Chateau Doisy Daene.
The Vineyard
The Chateau's vineyards are located high up on the chalk plateau of Barsac on the location of an ancient medieval castle, slightly to the north west of Chateau de Myrat, to which it was once attached. The soil consists of sandy clay above a slightly permeable limestone bedrock, which is typical
