Appropriate Temperatures For A Variety Of Wines

We often hear many people say that red wines should be served at room temperature. In the past, people did not have central heating and air conditioning and thus, room temperatures at that time were around 60 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the ideal temperature for red wine. But in our time, room temperatures are around 70 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit and this is too warm for serving reds. Additionally, the refrigerators we have today are able to go as low as 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Red wine
